Peaches

Peaches

You are not a failure.

Failing is an action, a verb – not a noun. Failing is something we must do in order to succeed. Separate what happens and circumstances from who you are! These things help build up who we are, but they are not us.

Define who you are.

I will help you get started with a list, take the ones that fit for you, add the ones I may have left out…there are many more.

All of these types of descriptions make up who you are – you determine what to focus on and who you want to be. You decide what your values are and then you live them.

Do your best to repair broken relationships, perhaps even if you do not continue to connect, but so that you may have peace about it. Did you have a falling out with a sibling? Have you lost touch with your child? Did you get a divorce from the one that was supposed to be there for life? Did something go wrong in business or with a client? Do your best to make it right. It may never be resolved, once the walls go up or communication is lost, the details may not sort out…but you can find a place of peace. I still have broken relationships, I have come to a place of peace with them all, I pray the other side can find that too.

You can be the ripest, most beautiful peach on the tree, and there will be people who do not like peaches. There will be people who pick a peach and drop it to the ground, not because of the peach, but because of what is inside of them. Sometimes we fall victim to other people’s sin, but that does not mean we play the victim. We may not always know the reason behind the things that happen in our lives, but there will come a day when we have full understanding. For now, do your best, to be your best and leave the rest.
